You might be able to save sales tax if the AD is in one state and ships them to you in another. My AD is in Maryland, I'm in Virginia. They can ship watches and you don't pay the 6% MD sales tax.

Discounts - if you go anywhere other than the stodgy chain ADs (I.e. Ben Bridge, Leeds, etc here in CA) you can get a small discount on the Tudor line. I shot low and covered the outrageous sales tax here in CA. I'm getting ready to buy my 3rd Tudor from this same AD and will shoot for 15%.

I do not understand, grey marketers make a small discount and your AD will do the 15% off?

It really all depends on the AD especially since the buyer has established a good business relationship with the AD already so the discount will depend on the mood of the owner of the AD on that day.

If ADs start to discount even 10% the used market will take a quite significant hit specially on Black Bay.

Pelagos $4125 and BB $3425 at my local AD. They were willing to discount 8% for me on the BB. I passed for now.
