Daytona Owners-What do you like about it?
Maybe this question was asked before, but I'm curious to know, What do you like about your Rolex Daytona?

I love the simple dial design, and the updated Daytona with in-house movement has a more "logical" dial arrangement with the chronograph subsidiary dials on the same axis.

I like the "cleaner" Zenith-subdial positioning. Also love 2-tone.

I like the tricompax dial layout (subdials at 3, 6 and 9), the screw down pushers, the in-house movement and the thin profile. The watch looks amazing and is super comfortable to wear.

I love the simplicity of it, not having a date, and added stop watch function.
It is the most comfortable watch to wear without being SD thick and bulky, it's sporty and yet dressy, but on top of all that, the s/s daytona is actually something I had to wait for, and fight to get, and that makes it very special to own! |

That it does not look like a "Rolex" when compared with the rest of the Rolex sport models.

It's a beautiful watch. I love wearing it and I can stare at it for hours. Looks great and off the wrist and it's my most accurate watch ever. +20 secs after 2 months...

STOP with all these Daytona threads! Just when I forget about wanting one, a Daytona post pulls me right back in to obsessing about it!

I've been wondering if Daytona owners have a problem with the pusher buttons whacking against anything? They kinda stick out and are not protected by shoulders like the winding crown.
Errr...Allan wants to know what buddy Orchi thinks |

Err buddy Allan...in all honesty...Orchi has had that worry in the beginning...but after considering the early Daytona models didn't even started with a screw down crown or any crown guards on them until later...nor had there been any major complaints about broken chronograph push buttons before...so that worry seems to have dwindled somewhat...
Until very recently...Orchi started to wear the watch upside down like this...so that worry kinda vanished... |

Regarding the pushers, they don't get in the way. Both my VC Overseas and the Daytona have screw-down pushers. Have to admit that's a pain at times. Others seem to get very good water resistance without having to doing that. |

I concur with everyone. Classic, comfortable, sporty, elegant, dressy, casual, accurate and it says Rolex on the dial. What's not to love!

The best feature is the precision and knowing that this movement is widely regarded as one of the 10 best movements available in a mechanical watch. The next best feature is the detail and craftsmanship evident in the dial and hands. It's a beautiful watch! I also appreciate that it's not GIGANTIC, but rather has a refined scale by today's watch fad standards....
