I'm afraid I don't know any AD in your area but I'm very sorry to read that this happened to you, that's quite some bad customer service and I don't understand why they would do that, they would have got the same amount of money had you paid instead of another customer and you had your name on a list. Besides, why even bother telling you they were all sold?

Greg at the Govberg Philly store is a nice guy.

I was recently at the Murphys just off I-78 [across from the hilltop Cabelas] and had two eager types. Family business, is Murphys.

There's an AD just north of Lancaster, VANSCOY, MAURER & BASH JLRS, and they have always remembered me, even though I've made infrequent visits. Another family business.

I purchased my SubLV at Benari Jewelers in Newtown Square (technically I purchased it when they still had their store in Media). Every year they have a 10% off everything in the store sale to move old stock, and I believe it is in the fall. Good luck finding a solid AD!

Right. It's not that they show preference to their existing customers, it's that I was proactive about getting one, was told that I was first on the waiting list, assured at every turn, and now they don't even have the courtesy to call me back.

It's surprising because you expect this type of don't care attitude from a national chain, but this was at a family-owned AD.

And thanks for the suggestions everyone! It feels good to get it off my chest too.
