well.. i must say i have been a huge IWC fan my life and my dad has been a die-hard rolex fan/collector. but recently, this Rolex bug bit me .. and bit me hard.

at first, it was love at first sight with White Gold Daytona with Black dial and red hands, then platinum Daydate with roman numerals, then yachtmaster, then GMT, then Milgauss, then Explorer I... you see where i am going..

there is no single Rolex that i consdier 'ugly'. i don't know how Rolex does this but EVERY SINGLE Rolex is a beautiful watch. the more i look at them, the more beauties i find in them. this is just very impressive as all other watches go boring after a while (even patek philips, at least for me) but not Rolex watches..

I've already bought three rolexes and today i may bring my 4th

i really don't know where it is going to end... (maybe when i get my platinum DD?

believe it or not, my husband did quit drinking since last month, after that many years. It just because of Rolex

I told him for that long of married, if you didn't drink, you may very well have 21 Rolexes already

I really enjoy my Rolex, but I appreciate other brands as well. I guess I'm not quite as hard-wired to Rolex as some other fans. You pay over the odds for the brand and I'm not keen on that but their designs are timeless and Rolex only makes slight modifications through the years, which is an aspect of the brand I like. Would I swap brands if I found something I liked better - you betcha.

I have been around the block with the whole WIS thing. Started with Rolex...thats the first thing that got my blood running. I saw a guy driving down the road in front of me in a red convertable Mercedes sportster, and his arm was hanging out the window with a TT Blusey on it. I immediately knew it was a Rolex...thought it looked beautiful...HAD to have one. It seemed the epitomy of class and success to me. That was my first high end watch, after many many years of wearing middle grade watches (Tag, Tissot, Festina, etc).

Natrually, I moved through a few Rolexs that first year, and then moved onto other brands. Over the next several years I have been through quite a few brands and fascinations. But interestingly to me....after loosing interest in Rolex completely, and buying many other brands....including a large additction to Panerai...I came back to Rolex more recently and was hit HARD with the bug. Now....nothing really interests me as much as Rolex. I have a few other brands still....but they don't get the wrist time. Every day, I choose to put a Rolex on my wrist. Its what looks and feels right to me.

I think part of why I initially lost interest in Rolex was because I got into larger watches (44mm), and Rolex just seemed so small after a while that it was uncomfortable to me. But in time, those larger watches are what became really uncomfortable. The Rolex size and shape is what is classic and cool. Just goes to show, at least for me, its the large watch thing that will go down in history (in good time) as a fad....

I agree! The overall quality of Rolex watches is unbeatable. The movements might not be beautiful seen from a connaisseur's viewpoint, but they work tremendously well. And Rolex dials are a chapter on their own.

I really don't see myself being able to wear anything over 42 mm like the Omega Seamaster. I love the Datejusts, it does not seem small at all. Always comfortable, and always modest.

I love all the colour schemes that Rolex has. I wish I could sit in at one of ROLEX's design group's coffee table meetings and just listen in ....... and pick their brains.
