AD says "No price increase"
I was at an AD in Toledo, OH last night and a sales women who seemed to know her stuff said Rolex is not going to do a price increase. I mentioned I thought it was happening due to the dollar and raw metals, she said that they already got enough with the last one! Just passin' it along.

Hmm interesting. I am curious to see what will happen in europe cause most of the AD's here say that they have allready received the 2008 pricelists and that there is not going to be a price increase.

AD's say so much. I have stopped paying attention to it. But it would be nice if no price increases come in 2008.

The last one in the US was Oct 2006, over a year ago, so I think we are due for a price increase.

How about we just wait to see what happens? No AD knows. More than ever, I am convinced of this.
From my understanding, the last US price increase was in October 2006. So, if that's true, then I don't see how an AD can point to that increase and say no more. |

We need a Rolex insider here. Why can't we find somebody from inside rolex. I mean it's just a company. I wonder what kind of procedures they have so that info doesn't get out to the public

Not here in Canada, first week of January ADs increased prices. Something like 10%. Example is a SS GMT IIc which was C$7,200 is now C$7,950. I'd rather pay US grey market prices and pay Canada customs 17% (duty+PST+GST) and I will still be way ahead about $1500.

Since I've been aggressively shopping, I can chirp in on personal experiences. No less than 4 different AD's in the southeast and 1 in the west (US) told me within the last 2 days that a price increase was coming within 30-days. Don't know that it's true, just passing along. It's certainly driving a gift that I'm purchasing!

The AD price increase song and dance is just sales hype. Buy now or you'll pay more... The fact is, we're in a recession, and Rolex is probably happy if they can still maintain their sales figures at these prices... Larry.

Let me put it this way. If I was a jewelry salesperson and you asked me if Rolex was going to increase prices I'd say:
"Yes..so you better buy the watch now, sir/madam" No one knows at this point... |

Four of the last seven price increases in the US have been in February and there was one in 04, 05 and 06 so I think people are making an educated guess that there will be one this Feb.
