does Rolex have a prestige line

Was wondering if Rolex has A Prestige line or other fancy name for their high end Platinum Presidential Rolex with what seemed like half to full carat stones on the band and bezel…do these roll of the line or are these made to order?

There is the masterpiece line which the name indicates what they are. Then there is the DayDate line, which only comes in gold or platinum (with or without diamonds) and then they have precious metal watches from many models, which come with diamonds sometimes.

I did not forget about sky dwellers, they are in gold only, but no diamonds or president bracelet.

Sounds like you might be describing one of the Day-Date Special Editions which are 39mm. 18956 BRIL perhaps?

Here are some other blingy models from the 2012-2013 catalog:

Yes like others have said Masterpiece line but the only main difference with most Rolex watches is the metal whether it has precious stones and the price.

Don't these bling models defeat the purpose of Rolex? eg, The gmt/Daytona are tool watches and the jewel encrusted bezels dont have the relevant time/chronograph markings.

like a lot of other brands 99% of these so called tool watches never see water let alone anything that could possibly hurt them. i know this forum has a bunch of die hards that wear/use them like they were designed for etc.

but......
the rest of the world sees ROLEX as a pure luxury "you made it" type watch. so for those people i dont think they really care if they can actually even tell the time on it. lol. as long as its "iced" out they are good

Like it or not, Rolex is the bling king. Rolex has become the brand the general public thinks of as a diamond crusted watch. Forget the tool watch days reputation, they are long gone.

Sad, but true... The writing was on the wall when they added WG surrounds to the markers...

Have to agree, the general perception is luxury only.

That was a functional decision... gold is a more inert metal and resistant to corrosion. That's why it's used on the hands and markers.

I am one who prefers the WG surrounds.....they add definition to the lume markers. But that's as bling as I'm prepared to go.

As for the 'Masterpiece' models......... ......... no thanks!

Just look at Bieber with his gold chains and diamond crusted yellow gold Rolex's. He even wears one on each hand.

Thanks

yes you guys nailed it. looked similar to that 80309 but in platinum and in A Mens size the weight on that watch was like wearing A solid brick of Platinum and those huge diamonds was A bit much but he pulls it off( my friend trying to sell it to me) well just to much for my wrist.
Roger
Thanks again so Master Piece line ..not Prestige lol maybe one day..

Sometimes Rolex AD will refer to the gold pieces as part of the "Crown" collection.
The masterpiece collection is a name usually reserved for those on the pearlmaster bracelet.
