Tudor 7928 ebay

I have been asked by a few about this watch in the past week and my observations are as follows
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-7928-Ro...item5af51eb35f

1.Fake (aftermarket) bracelet and end pieces with a USA made Rolex clasp. Although this seller usually gives great descriptions they seem to have danced around the bracelet issue......

2. Fake (Aftermarket bezel insert)

3. Then there is the dial in the Destro configuration. IMHO not original and only way to have made this work is to cut off the dial feet and glue it on or refinish the dial so the dial feet are in the right position. This is something that is of great importance and is omitted in the description.

I agree on all points and have a few majors myself.
The terrible relume is unfortunate too.

It's a real disappointment to see this great seller try
To pawn off a piece w so many issues. I've gotten some
Really interesting stuff from Hess / old north over the
Years.

...hmmmm...here we go again...

...Greek is spot on about the dial!

...looks like Anna has been at it again.

"HESSFINE's ROLEX SALES ARE GUARANTEED TO BE GENUINE"

"Described by: Anna"

"Description: The head dates to 1961 and the bracelet dates to 1973. All are genuine."

Interesting piece...
Totally agree with the above.
The dial doesn't look like a refinished one (despite terrible relume).
I vote for the 'feet cut off' solution , which makes the watch worthless IMHO.

This watch was listed by Anna Hess who, in my opinion, knows so little about Rolex and Tudor that she shouldn't be let anywhere near a keyboard to list items on ebay - unless of course she does know better. It is really a shame that this continues to happen with hessfineauctions.

As evidence, look no further than this Tudor description provided by Anna Hess, who stated that this dial might be relumed. My question to her is - if this dial hasn't been relumed, what the hell happened to it, not to mention all of the other comments in this thread regarding this watch.

Frankly, I believe Anna Hess learned her trade well from the master himself. These misleading, deceitful auctions are shameful, downright disgusting and again, shameful.

Greek, I went back and looked at this again after talking with you. That bracelet is the "bomb" of all bracelets. How the hell can she call that "original." That has more cobbled together parts than anything I've seen in many years. Mr. Hess should stay home more and take care of these listing issues.

As a side note I argued with them vigorously over a watch I purchased
From them (non-rolex) that was stated as being broken, yet repairable
By a watchmaker. Ultimately the watch was not repairable, and would
Have req'd a replacement movement. I got a great deal from a scrap
standpoint, And decided not to file a PayPal claim. Def caveat emptor
With them. They are not pleasant via email on any level either.

Totally different story in person.

hessfineauctions - they are known to be deceptive and misleading in their ads. Lots of posts about them in TRF.

Go to the thread below. One of my posts contains a link to other auctions from hessfineauctions that have been discussed here in the past.
