Best way to buy a brand new GMT IIc?

Is it ok to ask where to find the best deal? Or you can share your experience with me? Any tip? For example, go to the duty-free shop in Seattle-to-Canada border to get the best price...ETC

I have decided to go for my first Rolex and I decided to buy a GMT IIc (unless there is a newer version of it?) I am totally new to Rolex and that's why I am spending a lot of time reading and learning from this forums.

I have a few questions as I am very new.
1. Is GMT IIc still increasing in re-sell value? Where to get an idea about how much it goes up or down?
2. Is GMT IIc going to come up with a newer version soon? I would not like to know that a newer/better version releases one month after I have bought mine...
