I think it'll be a while before we know where the bottom sits on pricing for this model. I'd like one but I'm waiting.

£50100 retail that includes 20% vat so minus 20% as vat not due on used goods already takes it down to 41.5k less depreciation another 20-30% off you'd be lucky to be offered 25k trade and 30k retail.
Vat being a big chunk 20% no one in their right mind pays the vat amount a second time. |

Much will depend on production numbers and clearly market demand....... so probably far too early to tell yet.....
But someone like DavidSW will be able to give you a better idea as he has just sold one to another member on this forum....... But typically, at least in my experience, precious metal Rolex tend to drop to about 70% of retail on the grey market within a few years of first availability. |

What is dealer cost on this? They probably want to make about 5 grand minimum on it so my guess is best case over time 20-25% off. Second hand market is another matter.

Maybe he meant that much off? If not that would be a heck of a deal and close to half of what an AD pays!

Dealer cost in the UK is list price divided by 1.38 so £50,100 divide by 1.38 = £36,304 My target price is to pay £39,995 so I can tell my wife it cost less than 40 without being dishonest. Here is my basics 39,995 -36,304 = Profit is 3,695 leaving them with around 2995 after paying the 20% vat on any profit they will make |

Also based on your calculation of 36,304 BP's that comes to $57,000+ US which is $10K+ US above their actual cost. I would be shocked if HK AD's paid that much more than a US AD for a watch!
