Wish list question
I have a TT datejust, Pepsi GMT, GMTiiC, and 16613 TT Blue Sub, as well as an Omega Speedmaster Panda and a Seamaster PO Orange. My wife asked me what watch I would like for Christmas....my eye has been on the following:
--2004 LV Sub black dial green insert true 50th anniversary edition --Black faced SS Daytona (had always eyed the white, but this would be similar to my speedy) --Green Sub LVC (though I think I like the black dial better than the green...worried its "too much green"? --No Date SubC (or date)--? Too close to my GMTiiC? I would like a classic black Sub, but it's similar to pieces I already own... --PAM of some type...never really explored these Not really into the explorer 2, so that's out. No Milgauss either. What do you guys think/any other suggestions for my collection? Thx in advance.

Noticed you don't have a SS dress watch. How about a polished (or fluted) DJII? I am falling in love with the silver stick polished bezel myself.

Id get the LVc, its not too much green as you have a few other watches to rotate it with and the black subc is too similar to the GMTc.

I have a few nice pieces as well, my favorites are Rolex, but at the top of my wish list is a Patek Aquanaut.

for some diversity the Pam may do nicely, but that will involve you digging in and learning a bit.
daytona would complement your collection, but I'm not really a fan.

With your great selection I would say Daytona! But white. Not a comparison to speedy IMO. Plus you have black GMT.
Second would be hulk. Greens great if you have other watches which you do.

If not, I'd choose either the LV or Daytona from the list. Happy Hunting! |

Agree with Neil. I just picked up the LVc myself after initial reservation about green and I can't say enough how much I love it. It really is a very nice complimentary piece in a collection comprised of black and blue dials.

1. 2004 Sub LV would be nice, but those are running at a premium.
2. Zeneith based Daytona would be nice 3. PAM of some sort...these are a whole different animal, but an 000 or 005 is a nice starting place IMO. Good luck and have fun! Scott

I like the thought, but my DJ is my dress up watch and serves it well. It's new, random serial silver stick dial, and I don't think another DJ or DJ 2 would get wear time.

I wish. Out of my price range for her to get me as a Christmas gift. Budget limit around 12 k max, preferably less than 10.

How about a Reverso? Can be had for under $12, depending on case and back side.

I would go Hulk. It's a great watch if you have several to rotate. You definitely won't regret it when you are hanging out outside and can have the sun light hit that dial the whole time.

Your wife sounds like an amazing woman. I think a Pam would be a great choice since you have so many Rolexes. I have a 111 in rotation and it's a nice change of pace.
If you're set on another Rolex, how about an Explorer 1? |

Oh, and for your next purchase, how about a two tone GMT, can be found for around 10k. I think it doesn't conflict with the SS GMTc, maybe an older one without the ceramic bezel? To be honest, other two pieces I am starting to really like are the Brietling Transocean and Two tone chronomat (41mm). Look them up you might like them. Good luck |

LVc or panerai....(well, i'm biased, since that's my combo).
as for panerai, the choice may seem daunting, but, not any different than rolex with its millions of datejust combos. take the time to learn and you'll find "the one". or post in the PAM sub-forum for ideas. |

LV or PAM. I'd lean toward the PAM. To me at least, learning about which PAM you like would be half the fun.

I'm really liking the Lv with black face. I think more than the hulk. It's tough. Something about the black and green just does it for me. Does anyone have both, or have had both, and could compare? I have watches with both bracelet types, so that's not a big deal to me. Pics of both would be awesome.
