I think you have to as yourself if you like the watch because it is (or used to be) a difficult watch to acquire or if you appreciate its history and its appearance and how it fits on your wrist. The SS Daytona was my daily watch for several years and I really enjoyed wearing it. Although I paid full price from an AD at a time when there was several years wait list, I don't regret the purchase, though it doesn't get much wrist time these days.
