A while back my old man accosted my dd2.

Recently he stated he won't wear anything else so he asked me to get rid of his gmt II.

Some might remember, back a few years ago he was in the hospital and while there we were taking watches and picked up a sweet black insert gmt 2 from David.

Anyway, I made a deal with David to sell it back.

Long story short I could not do it. I've never been the sentimental type. But I loved it when he first got it, I love it now. And I can't seem to flip it being that it was my dads.

So David, as gracious as ever, completely understood and the piece is now on my wrist.

I have always preferred the newer models, but I just love this thing.

gorgeous piece...i've always been partial to the old style GMT especially with the black insert....congrats man!

Not sure what it is, maybe the picture, the story behind it but that thing just looks incredibly cool. I can relate to why you want to keep it and it being a classic, it's a match made in heaven.

Nice watch. A watch with a story is more valuable than a more expensive watch with no history IMHO.

This watch looks great on your wrist Seth, I do remember the thread in which you had bought it for your dad and all the jokes we made about you keeping it instead...seems like it happened after all!

Kudos to you for letting your father keep your DD-II, as long as both of you are happy sharing that passion everything is good in my book!

I'm not sure if its the personal value, or the watch, but it looks amazing, and I hate to say it, but it's far more comfortable than the newer models I tend to wear.

I'm very much enjoying it right now.
