From 60s to
2010s, which decade was Rolex best production years in terms of likability of the models, you think?

I say 70-80s.

Well the choice of models - if that's a relevant factor - has never been greater, so I'll say the here & now

I hope this thread does not turn into a 'new vs old debate' (to put it politely) - imho we've had plenty of those lately

The models i choose to wear are from the 2000's
My first was an E serial from 1991, it was essentially the same for me.... I guess the 90's would hit all the bases that are relevant to my choice.

Re SELs, they are nice but not a deal breaker.

I will confidently say that my interest lays in the range from lugholes to water resistance, avoiding anything outside.
(Some vintage models may suffer from lack of water resistance= n/g for me)

After wearing my sub for 20 years, every minute of every day, i found the oyster bracelet was functional, dependable and beautiful.

Not going to get into this old discussion about bracelets. Hold an old Daytona and Sub along side new one's and come to your own opinion. DJ too, some of those are stretched so bad it's awful.

I agree its been debated numerous times, but you did bring it up

, fyi ive owned a new daytona and a new explorer II...both traded.

I agree that the new bracelets have a quality feel & weight to them that the older do not match, but functionally, i found zero downside to the older.

Dont get me wrong i thought poorly of the older bracelets for years when i was a new owner, but after amazing and proven service and extensive use, i am a convert and advocate

I doubt the 1950s will ever be bettered by Rolex: intro of the Explorer/Submariner/Milgauss. But as you don't offer the '50s as an option, I'd have to say the '60s, for the 5513 and Exp 1016...both the longest running models, afaik.
