I don't really care what the anti mod crowd thinks of it as I am the only one who needs to like it. Since wearing it like this for 12 hours or so I can say this; the solid feel of the new watches is 100% due to the solid link bands and the clasp. Of course, this is exactly what I was hoping for as the hollow bands give it a very 'thin' feel IMO. And seriously, am I the only one whose arm hairs get pulled out from the hollow linked bracelet?

Thanks for the kind words guys

Nice set up you have there! I personally have no problem with the old style clasp, but to each their own.

Congrats Scott! I did exactly the same thing last year for my LV and Sea Dweller and never looked back....truly the best combination of 'old' and 'new'!!

It's not so much of a problem, I mean, the old band is fine it's just that the new bands and clasp are leaps and bounds better. It's not just a minor difference at all, it is so big it makes it feel like a different watch altogether. At least to me

Awesome combo. I would do the same. Update us when that green date wheel is installed.

As soon as I find one... Not easy buggers to find apparently.

Really nice. I used to fit Solid Ed Links from the SD to all my watches, see pic of the 16700, to avoid the "tin" feel and rattle. It works also fine.

Your looks are better, and I hope the welds do not fall apart. Enjoy
