Service Experience
Hi all,
So, took ownership of a new 15400 in June. It has been running about 5 minutes/day fast whilst on my wrist, and about a minute a day fast when it is not. How has your experience been with AP service? I emailed them, and the guy got back to me promptly. I'm curious to know if you were satisfied. It is still under warranty (for another 2.5 years), so it shouldn't cost me anything. Additionally, I've dinged her up a bit (almost daily wearer, now) and they quoted "250 to polish up the piece." If anyone has done that, does this include a bezel replacement? I'm a little hot after a 500$ Omega servicing that did almost nothing, considering in that instance I DIDN'T want the bracelet polished. Thanks in advance, guys. Hello Justin,
I just had my Royal Oak dual time serviced at the service centre here in Singapore. Overall I was totally pleased with their service. And would not take an AP to anyone but AP Service Centre. The polish does not include a bezel replacement. One thing to keep in mind on the case and bracelet refinishing is that it realistically can only be done on a Royal Oak only 3 to 5 times during the watches life and that is AP's recommendation out of their "Timepiece Life and Care" booklet. An E copy of that booklet can be found on the AP website. Personally I would not have the refinish done until the first full service, just my recommendation. Jeff |

But FYI, replacement bezel is about $800 and case is about $2000. So if you're really bother by the dings, there are always ways to refresh the watch even after the 3-5 re-finishings

Since it's a daily for you and only 5+ months old, I'd just have the timing issue fixed and wait until service is due to have it polished.

My 15400 was running fast - sent it to AP in Clearwater - 1 month later, running perfectly. I HATE scratches so when it'll go back, I might have the bezel replaced if it gets bad. All these parts are 'polishable' and / or replaceable |
