Not a tt fan overall, but it does look nice on you. Nevertheless, to me, the DSSD is just raw and sporty...I like it better.

The blue on the sub is fantastic and it looks great on you but thats far too much cash to add. Id vote going down the trusted seller road and getting a better trade deal. Ps the dssd does look great on you and the sub is definitely dressier than that so the combo of the white dial dj2 and the dssd works quite well.

So my AD comes back at me with a preowned 2001 model, I think he wants $7500, which I think is high. Not sure if it has boxes papers or the service history, but I can ask. It does need a polish
I am also not sure if it is the same blue tho.

I don't think I am goign to do the trade, the one he can get, which is from a broker, has boxes, no papers, $7500 firm, he said he would keep looking, I think $7500 is too much for a 2001, my opinion though.

A suggestion
I think there is a big difference to pay. I think is to much.
I would put another post in the forum asking all our friends what would be logical to pay. Of course considering a profit margin for the seller offering you the deal if is not a private seller. |

I guarantee you could get a better deal on TRF from a seller.

Whichever watch you prefer is up to you. Unless you are a diver and explorer enthusiast, the TT SubC might be a better choice for you. Personally I'd rather flip the Panerai and/or the DJ (don't mean to rain on your parade but an 005 of any series isn't really rare or collectible in any way), but most importantly math doesn't add up. You could rather easily collect at least $8,500 on your DSSD here on TRF and you could get a new 116613 at AD or trusted seller for a out $2,000 more than that.
The old 16613 blusey is nice but most of us don't like polished watches and you might have to factor in a $500 service. The notion that a 116613 with the smurf dial will be worth more in a few years is a flawed one. It is never a rare watch, made in many, many thousands; sitting readily available in most urban malls aroud the world. Best of luck with your choice. |

Thanks for all the opinions, I am in no hurry, I really do not want to trade the DSSD, so I will probably wait for the right one ot come along, patience is a virtue.
