My parents LOVE me!

A knock on the door today and this left at my door!

A lebkuchen chest! I remember these from my youth. My mama used to dole the treasures out like they were gold! The parents sent one to me ..first one I've had in almost 30 years!

It's filled with cookies! But not just any cookie. You can only get them at Christmas. Pfefferneuse (?) might be the English equivilant for the cookies. The outer chest contains many inner small boxes of the cookies...chocolate coated, sugar coated, etc. each box is a different shape.
