boston Legal

Anybody watch boston legal this week ?
Shirley had an old boyfriend come to town. while they were in the restaurant they showed a lot of wristshots of his Rolex.
It was very easy to see it was a Rolex by the Oyster bracelet, but I still couldn't get a clear enough view to see which watch it was. Think it was the sub though.

Do you think the wristshots were deliberately taken, or just coincidental?

That is a good question. Although I don't know the specifics of this show, most of the time, clothes, jewelry, etc., for each character are chosen by expert wardrobe specialists and the director. So I would assume the actor had a Rolex because it seemed to fit the character.

There is also a little thing called "product placement", which is bought and paid for. There are times when it is painfully obvious, such as the Quaker oatmeal they push on "Biggest Loser" or the ubiquitous shots in film and TV of someone picking up a can of Coke...

With Rolex it is not so clear-cut however. They do so well already they may not have to pay for this kind of exposure. BUT they pay big for billboards and full page magazine and newspaper ads...

For Rolex, a shot or two of somebody wearing their watch on Boston Legal is most likely small potatoes. Larry.
