HangTag Number not match warranty card??

Hi guys and gals. Need help??? Bought my Sea-Dweller and love it. But something bother me...Bought it new from an Authorized Dealer. And when he brought out my credit card warranty #Z752XXX. The hang tag number didn't match the credit card #Z????? So I didn't bother with it. So they gave me a blank one.

As long as the watch series # which I open up and saw the watch a 6 o'clock which read Z752XXX does match my warranty card. So I guest it wouldn't mater of the hang tag, right?

Also I know the Sea-Dweller model is 16600. So also I open the watch up and at the 12 o'clock read on my watch ORIG. ROLEX DESIGN
and underneath read 16600 T. What is that T mean??? Any one know? Does yours say the same on your Sea-Dweller? Thanks for looking.

The hang tag is just a tag and used for inventory purposes....It really is an irrelevant piece of plastic. You did right in ensuring the actual watch has the matching numbers..

The T means that you have a non-lug hole watch case and need to use a bracelet with the notches that allow you to access the spring pins..

It probably doesn't matter but if I am buying a NIB SD from an AD, I want everything to be right. Maybe they mixed up hang tags with another watch and just have to check?

Have you called your AD and asked him if he'd by any chance still have the hangtag? I'd agree that it is not so important to have one stating the serial number, but maybe you're in luck and he has it.

All (or most) Rolex watches should come with the hangtag that has the marching serial number on it. I would want the full package.

My AD retained my hang tag, but gave it back when I returned. Just think- this means somebody's watch has YOURS. Ooooooooooops!

ok, this thread got me to wondering because i never checked my tag. it's like buying a new vette, you don't check the numbers on it either lol, my hang tag matches the rest of my paperwork and watch.

all my numbers match and i have everything i am supposed to!!! ,lol, whew, i was getting paranoid for a minute.

Good idea, but don't sweat it if they can't find it. It's no big deal.
