The only source I have are the personnel at the boutiques in New York and Tokyo, all of whom made a point to say it was boutique only, and that it is priced where it is (lower than FC) for this reason (meaning, there aren't going to be discounts from list).

This Ceramic Diver is a real nice one not as shinny as the SS version but the black ceramic makes it low profile yet the orange pops up for a very eye catching effect. Mostly importantly the ceramic is scratch resistant which the SS cannot match.
Thanks for sharing. |

I can say that with the no VAT/Consumption tax (as it's called in Japan) and the exchange rate I got an even better deal than the original 21.9K price. This is the part that I want verification on myself...I was told this piece is limited to 350 production pieces at the Boutique. I never read that but the sales associate told me that the piece was akin to the Scuba in that production numbers were low and that they are boutique only pieces. |

Great review, love the look of the ceramic case. I guess weight wise it is in between SS and FC, similair toTi? Therefore great for everyday wear, especially on the tang buckle and wider strap.
Be interesting see how the ceramic case holds up over time. I am a little concerned about the fragility of the ceramic at the plot connection points, but it sure look good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is that 350 pieces per yr, or 350 total production.

This is from the email I received:
"Jason 様 お世話になっております。 セラミックダイバーはシリアルNo.の刻印はありませんが、 350本のみの限定生産のモデルですのでご安心くださいませ。 また、何かありましたらお問合せくださいませ。 今後とも宜しくお願い致します。 オーデマ ピゲ ブティック銀座 田中 綾子" Feel free to google translate but based on my ability it says limited to only 350 pieces. So... It's limited production although not "limited edition" in a sense that it is modeled or named after anyone. |

That's great...
You were lucky to find one at the boutique in that case. I really like the look of the Ceramic case, oozes AP quality.
