Day-Date: What is the cost of regular maintenance?
Lately the discussion of the Day Date models has inspired me to raise my ambition to acquire one. But this brings the question: how much is routine maintenance? Obviously, since the watch is made from gold or platinum, I would expect a higher expense and I want to include this in my planning. Most SS rolexes seem to cost around $400.00 (US) currently. I never thought to ask what the current rate is for two tone and other models. For that matter, although I don't have one yet, I wonder about the YM with platinum too. Maybe I should just stick with the basics. What is the Rolex policy on this? Now I am really curious. I have considered Rolex maintenance costs to be pretty reasonable but I never considered some of the more expensive to purchase models in my calculation.

My AD charges the SAME amount for every Rolex models he services:
DKR- 2,600 (~ 525 $). Which is a good thing since the Daytona is quite complicated and ought to cost more servicing.

Dont make any difference what the case bracelet is made from the movement same as per S.Steel for a general service .Unless anything has to be replaced thats made of precious metal, then you could be talking telephone numbers.

Wow--that is good to hear. I hope this is not just the policy in Denmark, otherwise I may have to move there and become a "new Dane" just to indulge my addiction? Thanks.

The service is a little more expensive in the US through RSC, because of the added complication (day function), but it won't break the bank...
Just go for the watch you love!
