I know EBay does thousands of good transactions for everyone "One" that goes bad...and just shows us that we need to do "Due Diligence" but even then we cannot be always 100% right. There are always possibilities and more than one way to procur "Something" it's just takes experimenting and finding viable solutions!!! Take care and enjoy the Holiday Season.....Leo

Nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone has their own comfort level, and with quite a bit of positive feedback, a good history, and pay pal protection, I would be willing to take a risk. As a seller, I hate all of the fees, but as a buyer, they have protected me as well. Like you said, be thorough and hang on to everything. There is no reason you shouldn't get your money back.

Yeah I have bought some stuff on Ebay as well and had great experiences but it was all low dollar purchases. I have heard way about way too many scams on high ticket items to ever feel comfortable purchasing something with that much at stake.

glad it worked out!
i have dealt with ebay only perhaps a dozen times tops, two of those times, although the items were authentic they were misrepresented/defective and had to be sent back….. it really is a pain in the butt and you have to be diligent in your pursuit of correcting it as you clearly were

Horrible experience, glad it worked out. It is true that you have to be very careful when doing business on eBay, but I've bought several pieces there very successfully, you just have to be very careful and do your homework.

Not sure what we should have learned, you handled yourself pretty well. Paypall is a must for buyers, not so good for sellers. |

I'm very leery when I buy on ebay. Only from brick-n-mortar shops I can verify when over $2,500. Glad you made out O.K. in the end.

It happened once to me too but by paying with Paypal you are covered and they will reimburse you as they did with me.
By the way I will never buy again a Rolex or any other luxurious brand on eBay I prefer this Forum much safer and with great sellers! :) Sent with Tapatalk for iPad!
