exhibition casebacks
sheldonsmith has an article that shows how to replace the caseback with a sapphire exhibition caseback.
i'd like to hear from the guys that have done it what they're thoughts are after the switch. i'd love to see the insides anytime i take off the watch! any disadvantages? |

Your watch will scream fake as Rolex never used an "exhibition" back. A Rolex to keep its value must be kept as original as possible.

I'm not a fan of them for the sport Rolex. To be honest the movements aren't that much to look at compared with other's especially with the rotor. JMHO.
A manual wind Speedy on the other hand...

Rolex movements are quite attractive visually, and If you want to have a clear caseback fitted to your Rolex, here is a company that does it.
Just bear in mind that RSC does not condone such modifications and will undo it during service, at your expense.

Here you go. It was pressure tested after the installation, and will take about 5 minutes to undo.
