The m is just one of the many things wrong with it. Wonder if seller knows, considering it has box and booklets. Are the box and booklets, etc legit?
Edit: I just sent the guy a question notifying him that it's fake (in a delicate way, of course). I'll report back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He's also selling a double Red Sea dweller with the same story of how he came across it http://m.ebay.com/itm/141144404379?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1 I'd like to see the experts' opinions on it as well, given he's selling a known fake red. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

An improper crystal does not a fake make.--Hemingway (or me)
The zoomed in pics of the DRSD are blurry but, from what I can make out, it seems everything on the dial lines up pretty well with an authentic mk iv (which matches the serial he lists but doesn't photo). I'll be interested to see what the experts say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've never monitored an attempt to remove a listing. How long does it normally take? How many complaints must be made or is it more important who actually makes said complaints? Needless to say, the person never responded to my question.

So he emailed me back and said he took the red sub and drsd to an AD, and he says they authenticated them (he didn't mention if they provided him a "cert of chronometer" card). He said they had 4 other red 1680s at the store that they pulled out and compared.
Claims they offered him a new dssd and cash for the drsd. Oh well, if we can't get the 1680 pulled, somebody will be the proud owner of a fake. Here's his email: "I just spent 2 hours at a local authorized rolex dealer. He and his watch repair guy looked over both watches thoroughly. Your correct in that The Boxes are wrong (which I thought). They took off the backs etc. They confirmed that they were both Rolexes and all correct! I asked him specifically to review the dial and he said it looked great but was darker than he liked to buy for his own collection. He did say that I should replace two screws in the movement because they were not shinny on the top like they should be and that the rubber seal was incorrect. He also said the case was very ground down or over polished or just bugged him. He thought someone had worked on it that did'n really know what they were doing. He had 4 red subs that he brought out and compared it with. We did talk about the fact that there are very faked watches. So I asked point blank "are they real, authentic, and correct." and the answer was yes. He absolutely loved the Sea-Dweller said it was a fantastic example and offered me a deal for a Deep Sea that I want and cash. Which I thought was very telling cause he said he only liked to buy watches with papers. So once again I am not an expert - so I took them to an expert and I feel totally comfortable in how I have represented them. I have had 630 people look at maybe 40 emails about it from dealers and collectors and you are the only one that has said anything about the dial being incorrect. In the end I wasn't there when they made the dial - who knows you may be correct? But I have done all I can. - ssssigma Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
