I was in the same position a few weeks ago. I went with GMTIIc, no regrets what so ever.

2014... well I'm eyeing a SubC and the BLNR...

Bottom line, you can't go wrong with either watch, ever.

My daughter in law has 6.0" wrist and she wears the 31mm datejust and it looks great. Can't imagine how a 40mm could look good on a 6.0" wrist.
