114060 - Timing issues
Hey guys. I recently purchased a preowned 114060. When on the wrist, it gains 17 seconds per day. When stored in my watch box, it gains 5 seconds per day. I went to the local RSC and they said that, when time checked at all positions, it is keeping time within COSC standards. I know how to time my watches. I never had any issues like this before. Whay would you do? Thanks fellas.

I an thinking I should go back to the RSC and explain to them again that it needs a regulation. Period.

Since you have been turned away once, I think it would helpful if you documented your watch's habits for a week and presented your info with your watch. Just a thought, good luck

Maybe it just needs to be demagnetized! Usually when a watch is off by that much that could be the reason. My 114060 is around +1 second / day.

[QUOTE=padi56;4633938]Before you jump into wanting to get the back off how was your testing methods. Was the watch fully wound up before putting on the wrist 40 full crown turns clockwise only. How long was the watch worn for to test any watch it must be done over 5 days plus.Try this fully wind watch first then sync watch with a reliable source for this test any quartz watch will do that's accurate enough. Then wear for 8 hours plus a day, check time once daily with same setting source write down loss or gain.Do this for 5 complete days then average out the loss or gain over the 5 day for a accurate result.
Thats very highly unlikely seeing the 114060M has the parachrom Yup. I know how to time a watch over a period of time. I'm that guy that sides with you when members freak out about 3 seconds. |

17 secs? Umm - no way within any tolerance I'd be prepared to accept.
My 114060 ran at under +1 for over a year - never missed a beat. |

As someone has mentioned , do an accurate check over say 7 days following a full wind, then average things out. Your AD can probably regulate this based upon your average whilst you wait.
