Good deal? Would you buy it?

Adding to this sort of question/thread as well.

I have an opportunity to buy the following. They are asking 3500 obo.

I'll need to get pics but it is very nice and was infrequently worn.

Year: 1990
Oyster Perpetual Datejust is stainless steel / 18k gold, with white "repetitive Rolex logo" dial. Comes with original box, papers/certificate, manuals, original tags, etc. Serial puts it at a 1990 production year. They purchased it from the original owner sometime last year.

#51814 - Rolex Oyster Perpetual (QuickSet) 18K/SS DateJust With White 'Jubilee' Dial & Matching 18K/SS Jubilee Bracelet

You all are so knowledgeable i would like your thoughts.

thanks

Advice I've read on here many times is "buy the seller". The price certainly seems reasonable but it's very important to have confidence in who the seller is. The reason I'm not a fan of places like EBay is that you can't see the watch in person first. What I like about buying a watch from a trusted seller here on TRF is that you are geneally given a few days to review the watch and return it if it's not as was described. Good luck with your Rolex quest and please post pics when you pull the trigger. Welcome to TRF!

Impossible to answer the question without actual pictures of the actual watch, specs are meaningless.

I think it's a "Jubilee" dial, maybe?

i'll try to get pics today. The info i gave in the post is what i've been told. The link is for reference to the same watch. It looks new and hasn't been worn but sat in a safe. I'm just trying to see if i'm on the right track.

i understand pics are important

With all due respect, this is just my .02.

You are really excited about buying a watch you have never seen.

Slow down.

I can almost guarantee you that Brian was not trying to be disrespectful when he said to slow down. We've seen plenty of people get burned. He was trying to help. Just my .02 cents.
