I've just put back the original bezel and insert on after a few months with the faded fat font one. Loving this black fat font for a sharper and more defined look again. And of course, it's the original, which you can never beat. It's good to have options! Strap is black horween cordovan.

I prefer that insert.

Faded is fine if it is original to the watch. Over-faded inserts on otherwise pristine watches is like buying faded and ripped blue jeans. Doesn't make sense and it is not authentic.

I also thought a little more about what you said, and although uncommon, there are great 'pristine' examples surviving today with their original inserts, which are naturally faded.
