I went for white Roman on the DJ, and probably blue on DJ2.

No offence to DJ owners, but I had the 36mm SS fluted/jubilee DJ for a while and flipped it as it just looked very feminine to my eyes, and not really dressy or sporty enough - neither one thing nor the other.
Your GMT is a more masculine and sporty watch, but the Sub Date would be even better. For me, a yellow gold DD or DJ would be fine for dress up, with the Sub Date for daily wear. IMO a SS DJ is not dressy enough for dress, not sporty enough for daily wear. Keep the GMT, trade it for a Sub Date, or buy a gold DJ or DD! |

I wore a 36mm DJ as my only watch for 15 years and it did the job admirably.
It still does the job admirably but has to take it's turn. |

IMO, the DJ's (TOG's, too) might just be the most practical Rolex for everyday use. If you aren't diving, the DJ does anything the GMT or Sub will do and often costs less to buy, pre-owned. My first Rolex was a GMT exactly 40 years ago (gave it to a son 5 years ago) and I have a 90's Sub, but the watch that I hike and occasionally climb with most is my father's 1959 tt Thunderbird.
