As an FYI, in Canada, the GMT BLNR retails at $9050 Canadian.

CAD dollar is weaker than the US. I think it's at $0.92 USD

We also get screwed on an HST tax which is 13% on purchases.

I pretty much got the tax off the watch as well as an extra 5%.

Depending on where you live in the US, I think tax is generally 8% state to state?????

I think if you're an American or from the UK shopping for a watch here, you may gain more value on the foreign exchange for your dollar and that's where you would make your savings. Up until this past summer, it wouldn't have made much sense to come here for a Rolex as the FX on USD to CAD was at par.

As an adage, I'm not sure as a foreigner if you can file papers after your trip for a tax-reimbursement. I know you used to be able to up until the late 90's but the Canadian government got rid of it and now everyone pays equally regardless where you're from. I guess the government realized it was losing too much money by having to give those taxes back.

Congrats on a very special piece. It's the hottest SS Rolex no doubt and seriously that's as good a discount as it gets for the BLNR. I got mine at pretty much full price back in July last year.
