Price Increase Info

I know we're tired of hearing about this but I wanted to pass on what my AD said today. They were just told of a price increase no later than April 1, and probably will be the 3rd week of March. I don't know how much.

March 1st from three AD's I heard!!!

AD from Vegas just called me as she just got a GMT II C in and she said March 1st across the board 10%.

3 ADs have confirmed March 1. None have indicated what the price increase will look like because they haven't heard from Rolex yet. I absolutely believe this as one of the three is in a different state, and all of them had consistently said that although they expected a price increase that they had not heard there would be one. Then within 1 day of one another, each confirmed that they had been informed of one starting on March 1.

I'm really surprised that there's going to be a price increase in Greece and at least Denmark. I figured that this would be a US only price increase.

I'm surprised too cause price are really high here but i don't trust what AD's say here about prices. I am going to wait until 1st of march and see what happens. Most of the AD's here were telling me 1 month ago that a price increase is not going to happen here as they already have received the new price lists for 2008. This makes them not trustworthy to my eyes

Just called Jared's. I was told March 1st and expect 7-10% increase.

First I was told Feb. 15th by Tourneau. Then many were told March 1st. Now April 1st?

Bottom line is they haven't a clue, but they are trying to squeeze as many sales out of this stupid waiting game as they can... Larry.

You could be right but my AD and the others now all of a sudden are saying the same thing. I do think they just got the notice, my AD didn't know this a few weeks ago.

Don't listen to those buffoons a Tourneau. I occassionally visit the one near where I live and I get a kick out of listening to their conversations with potential customers. Most of them are completely ignorant of even the basics. They try to fast talk the lambs with wads of cash in their pockets and the number one pressure sale is "the price increase". They are trained well - probably by the Rolex rep!

It is likely that the watches with precious metals (gold, platinum) will go up 10% or more. SS probably 5-10%.

One thing is for sure: A price increase WILL come!

And judging from both AD reports and numerous posts here and on other forums, the price increase will be inaugurated on 1st. of March.
