Curious. Thanks
100m wr, oyster case, its a watch that will take a beating. After all, it was designed for the British Air Force, it has to be durable.

Not polished at all. Think of it as a smaller Explorer 1

Yep have to agree, got my mum this AK for Christmas, although I love the watch for both men and women, the thin minute hand can make it hard to read in low light conditions. Wanna get the hands changed for DJ hands at some point.

Nice review and classy watch. The 3 6 9 dial is a great choice.

5500? Nice and classic, regardless of the model number.

A 1985 5500 made in March of that year. Very kindly verified in a letter written to me by Rolex. The one I will never sell

Having recently owned a 114200, I agree with everything you said. It is a very attractive watch in aesthetics, craftsmanship and utility. I really like the white dial, and I've since bought a white dial Datejust. I miss the simplicity of my A-K though. Congrats on the beautiful piece. It looks great on or off your wrist.

Its lovely to see how many people own an Air King, and I have done as well although I don't currently. They always seem to have the best dials in my opinion than any other models.

The white Arabic dial is very clean and sharp looking. I sold one a few weeks ago and if the dial was a little larger it would be on my wrist now. Beautiful watch, congrats!!

Do you mind to share how much you paid for your AK from Capetown?
