Source for Nato / Nylon Straps in Toronto? Online?
Hi All,
Looking to purchase a Nato or some type of Nylon strap for my Sub. I have found some threads that Im going to search through. I need to look at pics to try to decide what I want in addition to a standard black one. Anyone in Toronto or GTA know of a good place to go get one? Or should I stick with an online vendor? If so, which one? I will be in Buffalo in about 2 wks. I probably have enough time to order and have them delivered for pick up on that side of the border. Thanks for your patience.. Yep, found Dan's Nylon Nation 35+ page thread. ;-) |

Found quite of bit of variety on Nylon Nation thread. I have a question because quite frankly, I dont know anything about these straps.
There were 2 types I saw... 1 type was one continuous strap, the other was the same nylon material but in 2 separate pieces. Are both styles simply Nato's? What are Zulu straps? A brand? |

A zulu is one piece. A nato is two piece. I recently purchased my first nato and zulu and I prefer the nato style. Maratac makes very high quality straps. I don't know if there is a place in the Toronto area that sells them, but you can buy them online.

Maratac NATO & Zulu straps are most excellent, I buy from broadarrow.net
Phoenix straps from the UK are good, but they're like twice the price of Maratac

That's where I bought my maratac Zulu from. I tried it on for a day and didn't like it. I don't think I can return it due to their return policy. I don't think I'll buy anything from them again.

Their Zulu straps are a tight fit w/ rolex & tudor watches, their NATO straps use a slightly thinner fabric & work for me.

Watch Prince.com
I have a black NATO that looks new after a year of hard use. I have a different strap from a different vendor and it faded after a few weeks |

It's too thick and the strap bulges around the lugs. It also irritates my wrist (my guess is because the strap is too stiff). I've heard that their natos are thinner, like you said, so they should work better.

Thanks guys. Im looking for a thinner strap. :-)
Will I need new pins for these straps? I read on that thread that the pins that hold the bracelet are too thick for the straps. Where do I get these new ones if I need them? |

No, you can reuse your existing spring bars.
