I just love my Sea Dweller
Sorry to be so gushing but I think the SD is just great.
1 week ago I picked up my 1st steel Daytona and it is a truly fantastic watch. I also own a vintage 5513 which I hope I never have to sell as it is an iconic piece of Rolex history which gives me a thrill every time I put it on. After wearing the Daytona for the last week I switched to my 2007 SD today and I have to say that it is possibly my favourite out of all of them. It just looks so cool and reliable and feels right on the wrist. I feel very lucky to have such a limited but exclusive collection and I really think that I now have a watch for all occasions. I just think the SD will be on my wrist most of the time. |

That is a fantastic collection. Especially being anchored by the SD.

Well, I'm also a '67 model so that would be a tough choice.

You are right, I keep going back to the SD after putting on the GMT IIc or Sub Date for a few seconds. The SD has been my daily wearer after 40 days of ownership. I don't think I'll ever part with it. The GMT may get some wrist time when I travel, that's it.

The SD is a great watch. One of the best "tool" watches in the world.
For me, that Zenith SS Daytona is smoking. That would be the one I would wear but the best part is you get to switch between them all. Lucky man and great collection! Wear them all well.

The SD is truely a great watch, and I look forward to getting an SD again. If I were to choose between the SS Daytona and the SD, I'd also pick the SD anytime.

I love that watch
but my heart is set on the Non Date Sub. I'm 7 years older and I would have to use glasses to read the date anyway;Jim

The non-date subs are great but............
I love the non-date subs. Both the 5513 and 14060 are beautiful watches. However, why not go for a SD anyway? If your eyes can't make out the date without the cyclops, just pretend it's a non-date version!!!
I know what you mean. I sometimes struggle with the SD date but what the heck. I just love the watch, with or without the date. Cheers - Simon |
