Sounds like AD speculation.

Every time you look at a watch the AD says buy now as an increase is imminent.

Tired of the same old story. Last increase was years ago.

Who knows. I'm not convinced they're selling terribly well at the moment. I actually saw a steel Daytona in the window of an A.D. for the first time ever yesterday…

I drove my gf and some friends to liverpool around xmas/new years last year (around Jan 2013.) Did some window shopping in AD's to pass the time. But looked at the DJII a lot which I genuinely was going to buy.

When they saw me very seriously considering the DJ, I was told by every AD that a price increase was imminent and naturally, a year and a month later, nothing. Even with my sub on my arm they tried to play me. The fact of the matter is simple, Rolex once did a price increase 6 months after the last one (March 08 and Oct 08) so a price increase could probably come at any time and will always be "on the way."

Buy the watch when you're ready. You know that when a price increase comes you can still get around it right? Many places do a transition period of around a week. There will be no room to negotiate but for that week they will sell for the old price. I rang around at the old price increase and found a few who were still selling at the old price. This was after the price increase had been made official, so ignore the unofficial speculation.

If pound has declined against the Euro/$US then I would say you are in with a shot, our Aussie prices moved 5% in early Feb mind you our $ had depreciated by more.

I heard that Rolex is going to reduce the prices on all models by 25%,I thought that would make a nice change from the almost daily price rise posts.

As tempting as it is to make a joke here, don't price rises usually happen on a Monday?

Price rises usually occur at the start of a month, and ADs are given very short notice, sometimes just 24 hours. Anyone claiming to know more than that is just trying to get you to buy on the day, it's a common sales tactic. There hasn't been a price increase since June 2012

I went to an AD neraby to check the YM that I had told him that I liked and he told me that "a price increase should be coming soon" that I should buy now! :) I said yeah, right.

I vote that we close all posts that say"rolex price increase" unless the op can provide a price list from an AD. I get tired of going through these posts looking for real information

I've once replied to such a sales pitch:

"Then you should lock your stock up and save it for next week because you can charge more for the same watch - anything else would be stupid!"

The face of the sales guy was priceless.....

No proof yet...we will see what happens in March. One thing to note, she also told me that if I order a watch and there is an increase, Rolex will not honor the old price. I would be subject the the increase even though I ordered before it went into effect. This is a bit disturbing, why would I order without knowing the actual price???

That is typical policy used by ADs for px increases. But, the only Rolex you really need to order is the 116520 or the BLNR. All others should easily be in stock. Unfortunately with PPs, you need to order most of them.
