New Watch - Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 1969
Morning all.
This is my first major purchase since I bought my Daytona in 2009. I saw it on display in my local AD's window and after trying it on I was totally smitten. I've tried on many watches in the intervening years but none have given me the instant 'wow' factor like this one. It was also in the sale with a good chunk off so this made it even more of a no-brainer! The opening revealing the beating heart of the El Primero movement is mesmerising to watch and gives me a look that none of the others in my collection have. It measures 42mm and sits perfectly on my 6.75" wrist. The movement doesn't hack so I set it 8 days ago the best I could and it seems very accurate at +1 second a day. I think it combines a modern and vintage look and I love it! Here's some pics and thanks for looking

Congrats and welcome to the Zenith Club - a good looking piece. The El Primero is one of the best chrono movements out there, IMHO. Enjoy the watch.

It is a beauty. Wear in good health.
I have been eyeing Zenith online for a while but I need to try one on first!

Simon, I've got a smaller wrist (6.5") and was wondering if you tried on the 38mm version of the El Primero before settling on this one?

Thanks all for the kind comments
Hi, no as they didn't have one in. I would imagine you'd have no problem wearing the smaller 1969 version. My wrist is flat where the watch sits and looking at it dead on the lugs in no way overhang the wrist.

Thanks Simon. I'd still love to try one first. Otherwise the usual trouble trying to decide on a Striking 10th, regular 36,000 42mm or a 38mm.

Very nice Zenith, I especially like the colors of sub-dials.

Nice watch! Love the open heart. I almost pulled the trigger on one, but picked up a Pam 392 instead. It's still on my list of next acquisitions.
