Understood.

As I said, I can't function w/o a date, so it wasn't a debate for me. But I'll agree that sometimes I laugh at the thought of the Rolex cyclopes.

Sometime I think it's absolutely cool in that it's so unique, screams "Rolex History/Heritage" and just a funky/different way to answer the question, "How do we make the date more legible?"

Then other times I find myself scratching my head thinking, "Seriously...that's a chunk of crystal just glued onto the face of my watch...how weird is that?!?!"

But in the end the pros of the cyclops outweighs the cons for me, and it's more endearing than annoying. But if that's not your cup of tea, I can see how the ND would be a great watch. Cheers!

It is a great looking watch; if I didn't want a watch with a date complication then it would be the best Rolex that I know of (OK the Explorer I is up there as well.) I'd really love to own one. Congratulations. Who knows, is a date really needed on a Rolex? Maybe not.
