Basel 2014 - the 3 new Cellinis
in some ways, it's the year of the Cellini.
all three are quite nice. at this point, i'm partial to the date version (the second set of pictures below). |

Very refined ! Think Cellini will become a major dress watch contender now.

Right so the teaser was for this watch! Now I get it.
Thanks for posting. I like the duel time black dial in both red and white case.

That's not at all what I was expecting! Very nice indeed.
Is that a second time zone with a day/night indicator? |

The time only is very elegant, hoping to see some more complications in the coming years.

This is my favourite at the moment. Pure timeless elegance.
Wow, Rolex becoming a serious dress watch contender, who would have thought.

The Cellini is something I would think about to replace my TT DJ as my dress watch. I love the look.

I love all of these. I'll have to look to see if any of them are in SS.
I really don't have a need for them though. If I wore a suit more, I would be all over this. |

Its about time they did something with the Cellini line.
I'd say a very nice entrance, although I would really have loved to see a moon phase....

The rose gold dual time just became my new grail.
I am partial to the second time zone complication and this is the watch I would strive to own as a travel piece. The more contemporary 39mm sizing is also a big plus. I think folks will take a fresh look now at the Cellini line. |

Although part of the Cellini range, these cases do have more than a hint of classic Oyster cases. Very elegant, and as usual, Rolex kept us guessing right up until the last minute!

I am impressed with all of them but like the duotime the best. I really want to see the guts on this one!

Anyone know if this has a clear see thru caseback and if it has a tang or deployant buckle? No info or pics of back on Rolex website.

they are speaking about an Automatic Chronometer movement.
Does anyone have infos how the movement looks like? I guess that it will be different to the ones from the Oyster range. Now that would be exciting news, if they issued a flat inhouse Automatic movement! |

looking over the e-brochure, there is no mention of sapphire back: http://www.rolex.com/content/dam/rol..._models_en.pdf even with the finer case and dial treatment, rolex remains true to its roots and is not doing intricately finished movements to look at through a clear case back. that's fine with me, because robust and reliable is more than enough. |
