Those models are visually distinct from each other. Rolex has never (in its history) released both a WG and SS version of two watches that are visually identical. It wouldn't make any sense.

In addition, the Air King, Explorer I, Explorer II, Submariner (No Date), and many other models in Rolex history were all launched in SS and have never had a precious metal variant.

they should've gone 70s retro and done a YG root beer nipple dial GMT.

but, yes, a pepsi in WG? it's a definite FU to its history as a tool watch.

I was never going to buy a Pepsi anyway.

Look for a Coke GMT in SS next year, BTW.

Where is all the guys that said: When the GMTIIc Pepsi is out there I will order one?

Of course a grail watch shouldn't been made of steel.

Love it, but I'm waiting 10-15 years to pick it up used. It will be a semi-vintage classic, and a great retirement present by then.

For now... A down payment on a new house, with a new Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe in the garage suit my needs better.

Not my picture or bike, but it is my next conquest. I miss my old Harley. Rolex is sidelined for a while now that I have my new BLNR.

Maybe they'll surprise us with a white dial Pan Am Pepsi version in SS in the future.
But for now, I'm good giving my current Pepsi's some springtime love...

Initially, I was upset. Not even so much for me, as I never buy new anymore anyway, but for all the fans of the Pepsi GMT who had been waiting and clamoring to their ADs for one to appear. Now, I just have to decide when to get a stainless bezel GMT again, which I can happily convert from black to Pepsi to Coke. The reason I may be unhappy with Rolex now is because they probably drove up the value of those now. To that extent I am willing to concede that they made a possibly beneficial marketing move.

I believe a lot of people will do that.

BLNR is the only SS option for a two tone bezel and it will stay that way.

You're right; there's no gold Explorers or Air Kings. The ceramic no-date launched with the SS Sub-Date, two years after the Sub debuted in gold. I'm sure, in a couple of years, they'll put the pepsi bezels on SS GMTs, unless the process of making ceramics in that color is too expensive to do on an SS watch.

Quartz is an FU to the history of all "tool watches." The 1960's are not coming back.

But do you see any white hold Subs? No you don't. Neither will you see a SS PepC.

Your analysis has a problem. What does the fact the Sub came out in stainless after it came out in gold have to do with anything? The Pepsi is not a separate model. It's analogous to the Sub Smurf, a specific watch within a model reference. Rolex already has a stainless GMT, two of them in fact.

When Rolex brings out a stainless Smurf then maybe I'll begin to believe a stainless Pepsi is possible. Until then, it ain't happening.

...Will anyone get hold of a red hand and pepsi bezel and retro fit it to a steel GMT-C??
Bit cheaper than the whole watch...

The real deal will be tough. I'd bet someone will with aftermarket parts.

Are you a betting man?
I know, I know, one can only hope........but....Putting out a SS Coke perhaps, would make sense, at least to me.
Look it, a WG Pepsi is quite a bit of dough to fork out, but there will be buyers.Like I said, what's a better way to create a demand for something?Create an "Unobtanium" product, then in due time, after a couple of price hikes, release an affordable model, which will cost more than the current SS model......guess what?It will sell like crazy.....just like Daytona a while back.....
Just my thoughts.
Perhaps I'm a Glass half full kind of guy.
