Besides the weight and hardness, do SS, WG, PT look the same?

I think this come from not being around the precious metals. If you have you know them when you see them and know they each have their own characteristics and feel to them. They may still prefer the look of stainless but they are not indistiguishable.

Yeah I agree... not even close... not sure how platinum compares to the steel... but the WG is very much brighter and yellower than steel.
