So am I Conner. Thanks. I saw just dollar signs (well Yen signs) when that Daytona hit the floor. $1,000 service for sure I thought.

That's how I got my rolex. Broken band 40 years ago and found it on the ground when I was a kid.

I did this with a Panerai GMT. Thought nothing was wrong. Later that year I noticed corrosion on the hands. When I dropped it a seal had broken. Better get your pressure tested just in case Id suggest.
Good luck.

I only put on my watch and take it off over desk or table for fear of dropping it on floor. Glad it worked out for you.

Yes I agree. I always put in on and take it off over a bed. It was already on and I was walking away when it came off.

Is this common with all solid center link bracelets? If I'm remembering correctly, my 16610 Sub 93250 bracelet has never unscrewed itself, ever.

Wow, that's scary! My heart would have skipped a beat. Since you didn't mention it, I assume the watch wasn't dented? Given that it is gold, you lucked out!

I loved this thread.

It was like a day in the life of someone else, I found it really interesting.

We should have a, show your day in pictures, thread. I think that would be awesome.

On the floor

Are you replacing the hardwood floor? After being pummeled by that chunk of white Daytona gold there must be a huge crater

I never heard of that shop, what city is it in?
