Purchase of new clasp not allowed?

About two months ago, I purchased a bumblebee with the standard hornback strap and titanium clasp. From a former purchase I have an original rubber strap which fits the titanium clasp, but just to have two complete sets of strap/clasp, I contacted the only AP AD in Denmark and asked them for a price on a clasp. The salesman returned after a minute of silence and said, that AP didn't allow them to sell clasps or any other spare part for that matter, without the exchange of a defective or worn identical spare part.

I don't really mind going for an after market part, but choices in europe seems more limited

So is this really the official policy everywhere? I had the notion, that you guys in the states could purchase almost anything anytime?

Any suggestions on an after market brand in europe? Thanks....

I think that this depends on the service center and their policies. I have straps, buckles, screws, plots etc. all OEM and all were bought from AD or Services centers.

I love working with Clearwater... I've been able to get pretty much what I've needed.
