If the Submariner were a car... what would it be?

If we were comparing watches to cars, what would the Submariner be equivalent to?

Functional, precise, classic = Porsche 911?

I would say the Daytona is the Porsche 911, Submariner is the Range Rover, Day-Date is the S Class and Datejust is the 5 Series.

I was going to say BMW M3 but the BLNR is the new Beemer watch

I'd agree with 911 both modern and old or maybe Audi R8 for the new ceramic only. Porsche works well, you can spot any year 911 for a mile away just as with the sub.

S is too formal - daydate style. Maybe the SL Benz

F-150 platinum edition a work horse with luxury as well. The F-150 best selling truck in America very common kinda like the Sub. Daytona would be a sports car like a Mercedes or a BMW.

Submariner=Suburban:

Utility and Function.
Can be nice with leather and teak or dressed down with a winch and mud tires.
Good looks.
Somewhat common.

...A Sub is a Sub.

My thought exactly. Definite not an S Class that is probably a Day Date.

Agreed! A sub is common like a 3 series. Now what car would a Royal oak be?
