Today when I cleaned my 116400GV, I found out there are two buring like trace on the side of my watch. I tried to buff it off by a veraet polish rag; it didn't work. I tried with some spray, didn't work for me either. I dont know what caused these marks, and how I can get off them. It is a major issue at all, but it bothers the look. Please help me out. Thank you!

I thought too, but if it's the water stain, it should be easy to get away...

I've seen a couple of watches with this issue - seems to be in the steel itself...

From memory, RSC actually replaced the case - I'm sure there was a thread recently... I think I'd just accept it (makes it yours at least!).

Not sure re-finishing would work, but maybe try RSC?

Took it to San Francisco rsc, they said it's just about the look...
Told me just to wear it. But it shows the watch is "dirty" somehow

All polishing is always best left to routine service time, if you want to polish every time you see a mark or the smallest scratch, that's the sure way to ruin any Rolex watch.

That stain may go very deep into the metal case.
I don't think polishing is your answer.
I think it is a defect in the stainless steel material.
Your only hope if for Rolex to agree it is a manufacturing defect and replace the case. Sometimes they may do this even if it is outside the manufacturing warranty period, but it depends on who is dealing with your case (pardon the pun)

its odd , but if it wont polish ,,, id try for a warranty , even out of warranty they may go 50/ 50 , as a good will thing , or treat it as a fingerprint id and love it.

I couldn't live with it and I would take the advice and send to Rolex and trust they will acknowledge it is a production fault and rectify for you. If it is I think they might well do this for you. See if you can get the manager of the RSC to personally get involved. Good luck.
