News - We've All Lost a Friend & Member of Our Community "Timely" -Bob Bob Ohlson
I received very sad news today from Bobs wife Pat..that Bob AKA: TRF member "Timely" has passed away. I spoke to him on the phone just ten days earlier and hadn't heard back.. .Bob was always timely and I wanted to think positive thoughts .. .Bob recently became my 1st and only friend here on TRF..and I realize now it was one of his last acts.. In late March he wrote and told me he had just that day received very bad news.. and that he didn't have much time.. .Bob, subsequently sold me his very special Bubble Back timepiece a 14K, 3131 from 1947 that had been his dads and endured two wars.. . a timepiece which he had shared here with the membership on a number of occasions.. .I'm wearing it today just for my friend Bob "Timely" .. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten and I told Pat that Bob truly touched the lives of members around the world .. .and he did and especially mine. ..

That's terrible news. It's so sad to lose a TRF member. Photo, I'm sorry that you lost a friend.
I remember reading through Timely's bubble back thread and thinking to myself what a beautiful watch he had. I fell in love with the bubble backs because his thread. Bob and his wife will be in my thoughts. RIP. I am sure he is in a better now, smiling down on us. |

It's sad to learn of his passing. How lucky he was to have a watch with such a powerful legacy.

Very sad news! I recall the limited interaction I had with him months ago! Very nice gentleman! He is now in a better place. Thank you for updating us.
