Is this an authentic Day-Date movement?

I was offered a 1974(birth year)Day-Date by a seller on here under the name JVMARTIN. I was just wondering if the movement looks correct and if anyone has done business with or heard of the seller? Below is the pics he sent me. I know the face is an aftermarket but I'm more concerned about the movement. Any info will help. Thanks, Al B.

It looks good to me. I've actually bought a watch from him and everything was as described so I think you'll be fine.

Here are a couple pics of the case engravings. Do they look legit?

No drama with the case, you do know the dial is not original though. What's the price ?

Is the dial an authentic Rolex dial that was repainted and diamonds added to? $3850 is the asking price.

Spot on Mon, to the op, you would need to remove the dial for us to tell you cheers.

Relatively nice piece for that price.

The case is in decent shape.

What would an OEM Day-Date dial cost to replace the one already installed?

X2. Not bad for the price. I would think an original, champagne dial could be found for around $400. Check with south texas, he has some 1803 dials for sale.

Just wondering despite the dial and band being aftermarket pieces and the price should I pull the trigger? I'm really on the fence about this one but I could knockout two of my wants (birth year & Day-Date) all in one shot. I really need some help from the TRF family on this one.

Thanks Springer.

Al, good luck with your decision, looks like a nice piece at a good price. I sent you a PM.

With the purchase of a dial and the cost of installing it the deal just isn't there anymore.

I'd wait for another with the right dial.
