Panerai convert here

Hello, this is my first visit to Panerai forum. I only saw these watches in photos and was never really attracted to them.

However, I saw my first one in the wild that an aquantice had on and I gotta tell ya, it looked great. Big and beautiful with black face dial. In pictures I never liked the rounded guard but in person it worked real well and flowed with overall aestics.

I guess this is why you never say never

The same happened to me.

I thought Panerai was overrated and then I tried one on...

I am now on my third as I have a chronic flipping problem, but I can hardly see myself without one in the collection.

Same here. First time I saw them I thought they were cartoonish. Now...I've been through 4.

Much better on the wrist.

Welcome! First things first: take your time and find the model you love. It is rather daunting at first with all the models, but it will eventually make sense as you explore. And then, there's the straps. So many straps (OEM and non-OEM).

Panerai's website actually isn't half-bad to check out, as the search function is pretty helpful.
