Crosswind PR with Chrono function ON!!

Hi guys,

And especially you, Ed...since you asked me to carry out the test, I did it with the Chrono function in operation this time....still got a very impressive result of 51 hours.

So, to summarise the Power Reserve tests...

52 hours PR with Chrono function STOPPED.
51 hours PR with Chrono function ON.

How's that?

Now the mathematicians on this forum can work out the percentage loss when the Chrono is kept in motion.

Thanks - JJ

Like the direct quote I gave you from Omega, they state that with chrono function running the average power reserve is around 2% less. They quote as well, in there experience the wear factor with the chrono functions continually is very very small. And Breitling use the same engine,so there you go a few days or weeks will not harm your watch.Or just keep it running in the day stop and reset at night, very important to reset and not just stop the chrono function. If you just stop chrono its just putting a brake on movement,by stopping and
resetting you take all brake strain off movement.

Hey JJ, at least you found a reason to own the crosswind, just keep winding it up and then testing the PR, sounds like a logical reason to keep it.

It is a great looking watch, put it in the rotation and wear the thing or move it down the road.

To be honest, it certainly smiles at me....might just decide to keep it after all....got it quite reasonably priced in the first place.
