Out of all you owners in this thread, who wears the smurf everyday as a daily watch?
As for me, its my one and only watch therefore I do.

Just about every day, mate. No issues. Love the weight and the balance.

I have put it on first thing every single day since I got it. I plan to do so forever.

(what about an RG or Platmariner though?)

Was in Carmel-by-the-Sea yesterday and "test fit" this watch.
Gorgeous. I was shocked at how heavy it was.

Question for the thread: What is the recommendation for sourcing a new watch? The AD had the list price tag on and lots of hesitation around dealing, as I'm sure he gets lots of tire kickers. (Was wearing my SS sub though) So "maybe" he could get to -10%. I was sort of surprised. My sense is the internet has to provide more competition than that. Maybe if we got more serious he would too.

There are plenty of legitimate offers (chrono24) for this beautiful watch, brand new, box and papers under in the -20-25% range here in the US. And I don't have to pay sales tax if I go out of state.

I'm sure the AD question has been discussed ad nauseam, but I want to hear from owners. Where did you buy? Why? What would you do differently? I'm going to buy, probably in Jan. What do you guys think? TIA (been a lurker here for a while, first real question)

Speaking from direct experience, I've found AD discounted prices on PM models can be aggressive. Most of mine were procured through ADs at prices equal or less than internet pricing.

AD's here in NL are hard to deal with, online trusted sellers it is for me

Fellow TRFers, not part of the 619 club, but I'm thinking of flipping for this piece.
http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=498141

Appreciate any opinions I can get on this. Also, how you like the sub and how does it wear? Mostly business casual for me, but in suits for certain occasions.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Wears great with either casual or business attire. It took a while for me to get used to the heft, but I do miss the heft when I switch back to SS.

Once you go PM it's tough to go back!

The white gold sub looks a lot more white than the white gold Daytona, which has the slightest tinge of pale yellow. Is this the case, or is it just the photography/my imagination?

It has the yellowish hue to it. Easier to see when side by side with a stainless model. Now that I wear it almost daily I can see it in other watches in pictures.

Man, I love this watch everyday more, this is my grail. Unfortunately newlywed priorities will keep this watch in the distance until my 30th birthday (at least that's the plan).

I think this is the ultimate watch for a OWG like myself, pretty sure I can beat this thing up like i've done with my YM. Am I right? Anyone had issues using this daily?

Worn mine almost everyday since I got it nearly a year ago.
Sure it has some light scratches on the clasp and a very light invisible to the naked eye scratch on the crystal - but nothing a service won't fix

I love it and won't be changing it out anytime soon.
