Posting for a friend who has an issue
My friend recently decided to sell on Ebay for the first time and he sold his Explorer 1 to a member with 0 feedback. The member send an Echeck and he shipped the watch before the check was cleared and now has heard nothing from the buyer
What can he do ? |

My virtual throat is sore from warning people about Rolexes and Ebay. He should contact Ebay, but I don't know about recourse. Some rip-off artists change their names and re-appear ripping off more people. Maybe it is generational, because young people don't seem to care about the risks of buying luxury goods, and selling them, on ebay.
That said, I hope it works out for him. An expensive lesson. |

Very little. The buyer has much greater benefits.
But maybe file a dispute. It can't hurt, but probably won't help.

I don't think there is anything that he can do. I'm not sure if ebay can do anything.
I don't want to rub salt in an open wound, but your friend made some critical errors. He was being completely careless. 1. Never do business with a member who has 0 feedback. 2. Never ship anything until the payment has cleared. Who bought the watch? The prince of Nigeria? |

Paypal may cover it. He needs to contact them and see what they can do. Best to call the number on the paypal page and explain to them.

Echeck via paypal? Zero FB buyer?
Wow. Your buddy made more than a couple of mistakes. I'd move to stop the shipment. This can be done w ups, FedEx and USPS. Obviously file a claim too. First thing in The morning on both accounts. |
